Join us as we golf “fore” great education and successful kids!

At the risk of being repetitive (but we’ll do so anyhow), we invite you to join us Wednesday (June 22) as we hit the links for great education and successful kids!

The second annual Elmbrook Open tees off at 10:30 a.m. at Ironwood Golf Course. The golf outing supports the Elmbrook Education Foundation, which funds scholarships and innovative educational programs in the Elmbrook School District.

Here’s details: Registration for the Elmbrook Open is $125 per golfer. The price includes 18 holes, range access, drink tickets, lunch, dinner, door prizes, silent auction and lots of other fun. You can register at www.eefelmbrookgolfouting.eventbrite.com.

Charity golf outing in Brookfield and Elm Grove WI

GMS is sponsoring the event. Why? Because the EEF directly supports educational excellence in our local schools where, on one level or another, we’re all invested.

GMS is a Brookfield company. We’ve long focused on providing lawn and landscaping services in Brookfield, Elm Grove and New Berlin, WI.

On a personal level, many of us have kids in the Elmbrook School District. Some of us are alumni. If you’re a district resident, strong schools make our community a desirable place to buy or sell a home.

Most importantly, great education leads to successful kids … who often turn into successful adults. The next generation of business and community leaders benefit from your participation in the Elmbrook Open, no matter whether you resemble a pro or play like you’re blindfolded (or, probably, somewhere in between).

The Elmbrook Open raised $12,000 in 2015 in just its first year. Think we can top it this year? We do, too.

Even if you skip the golf, you can attend the dinner and silent auction for $40. Silent auctions are still welcome, but hurry! For more details, call the EEF at (262) 501-8909, or contact GMS.

We hope you’ll join us at what promises to be yet another great event for a great cause. If you do, say “hi” to our owner, Todd Ruedt, who hopes he won’t spend too much time searching for lost balls in strange places.

Remember: It’s for the kids. Keep telling yourself that. Any errant shots, water balls or other mishaps … it’s for the kids. It’s only golf … and it’s for the kids.
