Poplar Creek Gardens:

New Berlin's New Neighbor

New Berlin, WI. On Thursday, February 23, the Mayor of New Berlin, Jack Chiovatero, will visit New Berlin's newest addition, Poplar Creek Gardens located at 169th and National Avenue, next to Meyers Lumber. Poplar Creek Gardens, or PCG, will open later this year and slowly grow as the building and grounds are renovated to sell mulch, soil, stone, plants, shrubs, trees, local produce and beautiful indoor and outdoor living accessories. Down the road, PCG plans to open a community education center, café and a variety of designed gardens that display different garden styles, use of plant material and landscaping ideas.

Poplar Creek Gardens, named after a local creek, will partner with local artists and artisans to display and sell their wears and will consider other possibilities to become a valuable contributor to the community.  "We're completely renovating the old building using sustainable energy and water practices, and plan to be an educational destination for gardening, landscaping, crafts, energy and water conservation and many more topics. Come watch us grow and let us know what you'd like to see at Poplar Creek", says owner Robb Scholz.

PCG is also the new home of Grounds Maintenance Services, a local business providing quality landscaping, lawn and snow service since 1999. Together these businesses will offer beautiful outdoor living solutions to New Berlin and area residents. For more information visit www.groundsmaintenancewi.com.
