The Weather is Frightful, Yet the Season Delightful
At the rate we’re going this winter, Santa might need a super-thermal red suit, extra wide snow skids on his sleigh, and ear muffs for his reindeer.
Yes, this season has been frightful in terms of cold, snow and less-than-welcoming outdoor conditions. At the same time, we hope your heart is warmed by the holiday spirit, and your hearth welcomes the presence of family and friends.
It’s been another year of wonderment at GMS. The support from customers, employees, vendors and friends never ceases to amaze.
Our business continues to grow, thanks to the trust of so many homeowners and businesses in Brookfield, Elm Grove and New Berlin, WI; this time of year, it’s primarily for snowplowing and snow removal services.
The 2016 GMAC Golf Outing, in its 11th year, raised more than $14,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin. It’s amazing how fast the first decade went. Still, each outing brings new faces and rekindled enthusiasm.
The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group, formed by local businesses (including GMS) to support our schools, has grown exponentially. Its donations to Elmbrook schools have exceeded $10,000. As importantly, the program expanded throughout Waukesha County, so dozens more schools can benefit from its unique consumer-focused approach.
What does it all mean? We have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. We thank everyone who has supported GMS as a customer, a hard-working employee, or by getting behind the events and causes that we’re involved in.
Merry Christmas to you, and to all who are important to you. Even if what happens outside is frightful, we hope your holidays are delightful. Let’s just cross our fingers that Santa knows what he might be headed into.
