We raised $20,000 at our most successful golf outing yet!
Just when we think everyone associated with our annual GMAC Benefit Golf Outing can’t be more helpful or generous, they go and outdo themselves once again.
We’re pleased to say that, due to the dedication and generosity of all the sponsors, participants and donors, the 2014 event raised $20,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin.
Did we mention that we’re humbled? And immensely grateful? Well, we are.
Aug. 15 was an absolutely spectacular day for the outing at Ironwood Golf Course. More than 220 participated in the golf, food and fun. We made lots of new friends. Hopefully others did, too.
The most important part is that we, and our event partner ActionCOACH of Elm Grove, can donate $10,000 each to two great causes that really help people. So everyone who joined the event, or donated money or silent auction items, was helping people who face significant challenges in life.
The 2014 golf outing raised $5,000, or a full 33 percent, more than in 2013. To say we were amazed when the numbers were tallied is an understatement.
Try “blown away.” Astounded. Shocked (in a good way).
Next year’s outing is Aug. 21, 2015, again at Ironwood. We hope you’ll join us. It’s hard to believe we’d do better than this year; somehow, though, we have a feeling it just might happen.
